Services Provided

Services provided by the electorate office include:

  • Congratulatory Messages
    Letters from Jeff, the Queen, Premier of Queensland and other dignitaries can be provided to constituents celebrating their 90th, 100th, and 105th birthdays and their 50th, 60th, 65th and 70th wedding anniversaries. Four weeks notice is required for congratulatory letters. Applications can be obtained by contacting the electorate office.  
  • Letters of Support
    Jeff is happy to provide letters of support for community organisations applying for grants. Applicants are asked to contact the office and provide details about their organisation, the funding source and the project.  
  • Queensland & Australia Flags
    Community groups, schools, government organisations and sporting clubs are eligible to receive a Queensland Flag free of charge. All requests must be made in writing, which are forwarded on to Protocol Queensland.  An Australian flag can be requested from your Federal Member
  • Witnessing of documents 
    A Commissioner for Declarations is available at the electorate office to witness the signing of documents and to certify copies of original documents.
  • Justice of the Peace and Commissioner of Declaration
    Applications for appointment as a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Declaration have to be supported by the state member. Forms are available from the  electorate office or at http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/justice-services/justices-of-the-peace/become-a-jp-or-cdec
  • Parliament House Tour Bookings
    Schools and community groups are able to visit Parliament House throughout the year, special activities can be organised on request. To arrange a tour contact the electorate office or go to http://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/view/visitors/publicTours.asp
  • Electoral Enrolment
    If you have recently turned 18, moved house or changed your name, you will need to complete a new electoral enrolment form. Forms are available at the electoral office or online at https://forms.australia.gov.au/forms/aec/Electoral%20enrolment/
  • Seniors Cards
    If you are 60 or older, you may be eligible for a Seniors Card or Seniors Business Discount Card. These cards provide access to government concessions and business discounts. Application forms and guides to concessions are available from the electorate office.

Jeff’s electorate office can also provide you with information and assistance for a range of matters involving the Queensland Government.
